Course and Event Terms and Conditions

1. About these terms
These Course and Event Terms and Conditions (Terms) apply to courses, workshops, seminars, webinars, conferences, online learning, assessments and other educational activities delivered by Global Trauma Partnerships Pty Ltd (GTP, we, us or our).
By registering for, purchasing, accessing or participating in a course or event, you agree to these Terms. If an organisation registers or pays for a participant, both the organisation and the participant must comply with the provisions relevant to them.
The webpage, registration form, proposal, invoice or other document describing a particular course or event (Course Details) forms part of these Terms. If expressly agreed Course Details or a signed agreement conflict with these Terms, the Course Details or signed agreement will prevail to the extent of the conflict.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
2. Registration and eligibility
You must provide accurate and complete registration information. You must promptly tell us if that information changes.
Some courses or events may have prerequisites, professional requirements, required experience or limits on participant numbers. We may ask for reasonable evidence that a participant meets those requirements.
A registration is confirmed when we issue written confirmation and either receive payment or approve an invoicing or purchase-order arrangement. Places are subject to availability.
You must not register another person without their authority. If you register someone else, you must ensure they receive these Terms and relevant Course Details.
We may decline a registration on reasonable grounds, including where prerequisites are not met, capacity has been reached or participation would create a safety, legal, professional or operational concern. Any fees already paid for a declined registration will be refunded.
3. Fees, GST and payment
We may suspend access, withhold a place or withhold a certificate while an amount is overdue, after giving reasonable notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. This does not affect rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
4. What the fee includes
The registration fee includes only the items identified in the Course Details. Unless expressly stated, it does not include travel, accommodation, visas, meals, insurance, internet access, devices, software or other participant expenses.
Participants are responsible for making and protecting their own travel and accommodation arrangements. We recommend using flexible bookings and obtaining appropriate insurance. GTP is not responsible for third-party travel or accommodation costs except where required by law.
5. Participant substitutions
You may usually transfer a place to another suitable person at no additional charge by notifying us in writing before the course or event begins. The substitute must meet any eligibility or prerequisite requirements and provide the information reasonably needed to administer their registration.
We may decline a proposed substitution on reasonable grounds. A substitution may not be available after online learning has been accessed, an assessment has been attempted or a certificate has been issued.
6. Participant cancellation of live courses and event
Cancellation requests must be made in writing to contact@globaltraumapartnerships.com. Unless different terms are clearly stated in the Course Details:
21 or more calendar days before commencement: you may choose a full credit valid for 12 months from the date of the event or a refund, less payment-processing charges that GTP cannot recover.
14 to 20 calendar days before commencement: you may choose a credit for the full registration fee, valid for 12 months from the date of the event, or a refund of 50% of the registration fee.
13 to 7 calendar days before the event: you may choose a credit for the full registration fee, valid for 12 months from the date of the event, no change-of-mind refund is provided. You may request an eligible participant substitution.
6 or fewer calendar days before commencement, or non-attendance: no change-of-mind refund is provided*.
If we fill a cancelled place that would otherwise have remained vacant, we will consider a further refund after deducting reasonable, unrecoverable costs.
Credits are not transferable for cash, but may be transferred to another participant from the same organisation with our written agreement. A credit must be applied to a booking made within its validity period; the replacement course or event may occur later.
These standard cancellation terms may be replaced by terms expressly agreed for a group booking, commissioned program or customised course.
* We may also make a fair exception where serious illness, bereavement or another exceptional circumstance prevents attendance. Supporting information may be requested where reasonable.
7. Self-paced online learning
If a technical or content problem substantially prevents use of the online learning, please notify us promptly. We will investigate and, where appropriate, restore or extend access, provide an alternative, correct the problem or provide another remedy required by law.
8. Changes, rescheduling and cancellation by GTP
To the extent permitted by law, our responsibility in these circumstances is limited to the registration fee. We are not responsible for travel, accommodation, visa or other third-party costs, but this does not exclude any right to compensation that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Online delivery and technical requirements
For online delivery, you are responsible for having a compatible device, reliable internet connection, current browser or required software, audio capability and any other technology identified in the Course Details.
You must keep account credentials confidential and must not allow another person to use your account or access restricted content. Please notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
We are not responsible for a participant's equipment, connection or local network failure. If an interruption to systems within our control materially affects delivery, we will take reasonable steps to resume the session, provide replacement access or arrange another appropriate remedy.
10. Attendance, assessment and certificates
Completion, continuing professional development recognition, assessment results and certificates may depend on requirements stated in the Course Details, including:
attendance or participation for a specified period
completion of required activities
achievement of a stated assessment standard
submission of work by required dates
compliance with professional and participant conduct requirements
payment of all applicable fees.
Registration or attendance does not guarantee successful completion, a passing result, professional competence, employment, credentialing, verification, accreditation or any other particular outcome.
Certificates are issued only to the eligible participant and must not be altered, transferred or used misleadingly. We may correct or withdraw a certificate issued because of an administrative error, false information, impersonation, academic misconduct or another material breach, after giving the participant a reasonable opportunity to respond.
11. Educational and clinical disclaimer
Courses and events provide professional education and general information. They do not provide patient-specific clinical advice, medical advice, legal advice or a substitute for professional judgement, local policies, applicable clinical standards or advice appropriate to a participant's organisation and jurisdiction.
Participants remain responsible for independently evaluating content and applying it appropriately within their qualifications, scope of practice, local governance arrangements and professional obligations. Decisions about an individual patient's care must be made by appropriately qualified health professionals with access to the relevant clinical information.
Trauma standards, evidence, technology and regulatory requirements may change. We take reasonable care in preparing content but do not promise that every item will remain current after the delivery date or will be suitable for every health system or setting.
12. Participant conduct
Participants must behave professionally, respectfully and safely. You must not:
Any refund following removal will depend on the circumstances, including the seriousness of the conduct, services already supplied and costs reasonably incurred. This does not affect rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
harass, threaten, discriminate against or disrupt another person
compromise safety, confidentiality or privacy
impersonate another participant or engage in cheating, collusion or other academic misconduct
share login details or enable unauthorised access
record or distribute sessions or restricted materials without permission
use a course or event for unlawful, misleading or unauthorised commercial purposes.
We may give a warning, restrict access or remove a participant where reasonably necessary to protect people, systems, confidential information, intellectual property or the proper delivery of the course or event. Except in urgent or serious cases, we will explain the concern and give the participant a reasonable opportunity to respond.
13. Confidentiality and patient information
Courses and events are designed so that confidential patient, client or organisational information is not required or intentionally disclosed. GTP facilitators will use de-identified, publicly available or appropriately authorised information in teaching materials and case examples.
Participants must not disclose identifiable patient or client information, confidential organisational information or restricted data in registrations, online platforms, assessments, discussions or case examples. Any example shared by a participant must be appropriately de-identified and its use must be lawful and authorised.
If confidential information is disclosed inadvertently, participants must not record, copy, use or further disclose it and should notify the facilitator promptly so that reasonable steps can be taken to contain or remove the information.
If a course expressly requires access to confidential, clinical or organisational data, separate privacy, confidentiality, information-governance and security arrangements may apply.
14. Intellectual property and permitted use
Course and event content, recordings, frameworks, slides, workbooks, assessments, questions, templates, graphics, branding and other materials are owned by or licensed to GTP and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Subject to payment and compliance with these Terms, a registered participant receives a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use materials supplied to them for their own learning and internal professional reference.
Unless permitted by law or by our prior written approval, you must not:
copy, reproduce, publish, sell, license, translate, adapt or distribute course materials
provide materials or account access to another person
record, photograph, screen-capture or transcribe a session or assessment
remove copyright, trade mark or attribution notices
use the materials to deliver a competing course, service or commercial product
upload restricted materials to public platforms, shared repositories or generative artificial-intelligence systems
use the materials to train, evaluate or develop an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system
reproduce assessment questions or assist another person to obtain an unfair advantage.
You may discuss and apply general ideas and learning in your work, provided you do not reproduce protected materials, disclose confidential information or imply GTP endorsement.
15. Participant contributions and recordings
You retain ownership of original material you create and submit. You give GTP a non-exclusive licence to use that material only as reasonably necessary to deliver, assess, administer and quality-assure the relevant course or event. You must have the right to submit the material and must not include unlawful, infringing or inappropriately identifiable information.We will not sell participant personal information or use it for unrelated marketing. Optional marketing communications will provide a clear way to unsubscribe.
We will notify participants if we intend to record a live session. We will explain the intended use and, where required, seek consent before using a participant's identifiable image, voice or contribution beyond administering or providing access to that session.
Participants may turn off a camera or use available participation alternatives unless visual participation is an expressly stated and reasonable course requirement.
16. Privacy and employer-sponsored participation
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Where an employer, health service or other organisation registers or sponsors a participant, we may provide that organisation with information reasonably connected with the arrangement, such as registration status, attendance, participation, assessment completion, results or certificate status. The information to be reported should be described in the Course Details, registration process or agreement with the sponsoring organisation.
We will not sell participant personal information or use it for unrelated marketing. Optional marketing communications will provide a clear way to unsubscribe.
17. Accessibility and reasonable requirements
We aim to make our courses and events accessible and inclusive. Please contact us as early as possible about accessibility, dietary, cultural or other reasonable participation requirements.
We will consider requests in good faith and make reasonable adjustments where practicable, taking into account safety, course requirements, venue or platform limitations and the time available. We cannot guarantee that every requested adjustment will be possible.
18. International participants
GTP operates from Australia. International participants are responsible for confirming that participation and use of course content are lawful and appropriate in their location, and for managing local professional, regulatory, tax, visa, time-zone and technology requirements.
Unless stated otherwise, legal, regulatory and health-system references are based on the jurisdiction identified in the course materials and may require adaptation before use elsewhere.
19. Consumer rights and liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and the Australian Consumer Law.
Subject to those non-excludable rights and to the maximum extent permitted by law:
we do not guarantee a particular professional, clinical, organisational, verification, accreditation, employment or commercial outcome
we are not liable for loss arising from applying general educational content without appropriate professional judgement or regard to local requirements
we are not liable for a participant's equipment, internet connection, travel arrangements or failure to meet stated requirements
we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill or data.
Where the law permits us to limit a remedy for breach of a non-excludable guarantee relating to services, our liability is limited, at our option, to supplying the relevant services again or paying the reasonable cost of having the services supplied again.
Nothing in this section limits liability to the extent that doing so would be unlawful, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct or any other liability that cannot legally be limited.

We will acknowledge a complaint and aim to provide a substantive response within 30 days. Nothing in these Terms prevents a person from exercising a right or remedy available under applicable law.
21. Changes to these Terms
If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be read down to the extent necessary or, if that is not possible, severed. The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
